So You've Purchased A New Home...

...whew! With so many choices in today's market it's a remarkable feat to find the perfect home for you and your family. And now you have visions of window treatments, flooring, paint chips and landscape designs dancing in your head. Wait a minute. Did you remember to thank your realtor?

Realtors don't often receive thank-you gifts from their clients. It's not that their efforts aren't appreciated (you're moving into the perfect home, right?) - it's just natural to fast-forward to a "to-do list" with regards to your new purchase. Keep that list simple, and put that thank-you gift near the top. Consider that the service a real estate agent provides is similar to that of a waiter in a fine restaurant: you enter the establishment anticipating a delicious meal and impeccable service. The professional waiter provides you with an embellished description of menu choices, and then makes certain that your selection is prepared to your taste and served promptly, and further anticipates or responds to any needs you may have during your visit... and when you leave, you bestow upon your waiter a "gratuity" - an appreciation and reward for service well done.

Don't fret (I don't want your visions turning into nightmares)... I'm offering a few suggestions that would certainly be most welcome and appreciated - and simple to give.

1. A Referral. One of the most appreciated gifts and highest of compliments you can bestow upon your real estate agent.

2. Gourmet Gift Basket (shown: Chest of Gourmet Treasures) A good realtor is always on the run - showing properties, listing properties for sale, meeting with clients, contractors, attorneys and closing agents. Their days are full and food is often placed on the back-burner. A gourmet gift basket such as the one shown offers a fine selection of edible treasures and treats that can be enjoyed on-the-run!

(This elegant brass-detailed chest will arrive filled with Fort Knox Gold Coins, Almond Roca, Moravian Chocolate Dipped Cookies, Camembert Cheese Spread, Saraivanov Smoked Salmon, and more. And once the rich assortment of food has been enjoyed, the handsome chest is sure to find a special place in the realtor's home or office.)

3. Flowers (shown: Here's To You Bouquet) Everyone loves flowers! And what better way to express your appreciation. And choices are not limited to fresh bouquets... plants - green and exotic florals - are sure to bring a smile to your realtor's face.

4. Wine (shown: The California Wine Duet) If your realtor enjoys wine, a bottle (or two) is a suitable gift, and this sophisticated offering of fine wine and food is sure to make the occasion memorable. (There are several wine, champagne and beer choices available in our store, Red Door Gifts.)

5. Coffee or Tea Gift Baskets (shown: Gourmet Coffee Gift Basket) These gifts are the perfect pick-me-up for the coffee and tea lovers. Do you often see your realtor with the proverbial coffee cup in hand?

Gifts from a realtor's clients are unexpected and a delight when received. And understand that you are by no means under any obligation to present a gift... but when you do, give the extraordinary.

Red Door Gifts ...we offer gifts for those with impeccable taste.
